SCOTT Rendell scored a late goal to seal AFC Totton’s smash-and-grab 1-0 win over Frome Town.
The result sees the Stags climb to fourth in the division with two wins and a defeat from the opening three Southern League fixtures.
However, manager Jimmy Ball was keen to turn attentions onto the upcoming Bank Holiday visit from league-leaders Sholing.
Speaking after the match, he told the club media: “We’ve had the hardest weekend out of anyone, playing Frome who I believe will be up there.
“Then I think we’re playing on Monday the best team in the league, they’ve been together a long time.
“We’ve been together two minutes with how we’re trying to play. I think they’re the best team in the league.”
Ball added: “It will be a real good, tough test for us, so I hope we’re up for it and we can match. We will see where it brings us out.”
