SAINTS striker Ryan Seager is on trial at Bristol Rovers.

The striker spent the first half of the season on loan at Dutch side Telstar but left in search of regular game time at the beginning of this month.

That led the 22-year-old to League One strugglers Bristol Rovers, where he is trying to impress manager Graham Coughlan.

He scored during a development game yesterday.

Bristol Rovers' squad includes former Eastleigh duo Sam Matthews and Joe Partington as well as Theo Widdrington, son of ex-Saint Tommy.

Seager, who is 23 next month, made his Saints debut during the 3-2 FA Cup fourth round defeat to Crystal Palace in 2015.

Since then he has been loaned out to Crewe, MK Dons, Yeovil and Telstar, but has failed to hold down a starting place.

The striker was capped twice by the England U17’s in 2013.
