Ralph Hasenhuttl has made it clear that Fraser Forster isn’t a part of his plans.
This comes contrary to reports in the week suggesting that the Saints boss was going to select the goalkeeper for this weekend’s game against Leicester.
Forster hasn’t been seen in the first team since being dropped after the Boxing Day defeat to Tottenham in 2017.

Asked whether he is in contention for the Leicester match, Hasenhuttl said: “No not really.
“I had to make the choice to have two strong keepers with Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy and I think they did it well. Both.
“It will always be like it is if you have good experience made with one keeper then you don’t look for another one.

“It can be that Fraser can take a game in the under-23s so it’s possible to do in the future because he needs to get back into the position where he is an option for other clubs maybe, and that’s what we try to force in the future.”
