Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has backed Saints’ choice of Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Hasenhuttl is set to be announced as Mark Hughes’ replacement in the next 24 hours after agreeing to take over at St Mary’s.
The former Red Bull Leipzig manager has been out of work since leaving the Bundesliga side in the summer and Klopp knows him from their time in Germany.

When asked about Hasenhuttl, Klopp said: “Tall guy, a good guy as well.
“Very lively football, very aggressive, pressing, actually very lively approach I would say.
“A good guy and Southampton, how I heard it, is a nice city.
“It sounds like a win-win situation.”
