SAINTS chairman Ralph Krueger will attend a Premier League meeting today to discuss a wide range of topics.

The introduction of VAR is likely to come up in conversation after a number of contentious refereeing decisions last weekend – including Charlie Austin’s disallowed goal.

As well as that, clubs will be looking into how to move forward post-Brexit when it comes to recruiting European players.

It will be Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore’s last meeting before he leaves his position next month.

His replacement was announced yesterday when it was confirmed that Susanna Dinnage is taking over the vacant role.

There were reports circulating in the national media suggesting Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has asked Premier League clubs to each contribute £250k as part of a £5m leaving gift for Scudamore.

This has sparked a wide debate with fans across the country with them left angry over the proposal.

The Daily Echo understands that Saints aren’t keen on the idea of the payment.
