Cedric believes that Saints need to remain focused if they are to get a result against Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s City side broke a plethora of records on their way to winning the Premier League last season and are unbeaten in their opening 10 games this campaign.
And Cedric admitted that he has spent more time than usual studying today’s opponents in a bid to not come away from the Etihad Stadium empty handed.
The defender said: “I prepare for every game the same way, but Man City need special attention because they have so much quality and they try to use your mistakes to punish you.
“The key is to keep our concentration for as long as we can, and they are human, so they will make mistakes too.
“They make a lot of mistakes defensively which we can exploit, and I think this can be the key for us.
“We need to defend well, and when we have the ball, we need to be calm and believe in our quality.”
