CHERRIES frontman Joshua King ended concerns over his fitness as he played 90 minutes in Norway's 1-0 win over Bulgaria.

The former Blackburn man had been quoted as saying he had suffered an ankle injury during Saturday's victory against Slovenia.

King also revealed he had curtailed his training on Monday.

But the 26-year-old was deemed fit for the UEFA Nations League fixture and played his part, with Mohamed Elyounoussi’s goal proving enough for victory.

King did, however, miss a sitter in the closing stages.

David Brooks featured for 87 minutes of Wales’s 1-0 Nations League win over Republic of Ireland.

Harry Wilson got the winner from a free-kick after midfielder Harry Arter, on loan to Cardiff from Cherries, brought down Brooks.

Nathan Ake played the full game in the heart of the Netherlands defence as they recorded a 1-1 draw against World Cup semi-finalists Belgium.

Dries Mertens opened the scoring early on in Brussels, before Arnaut Groeneveld levelled.

Ake nearly found a winner in the second half when he directed Memphis Depay's corner goalwards but Jasper Cillessen made a good save.

Midfielder Lewis Cook was an unused substitute as England under-21s defeated Scotland 2-0 in European Championship qualifying.

Former Cherries academy coach Dan Neville, now assistant boss of British Virgin Islands, saw his team lose 4-0 to Martinique in the CONCACAF Nations League.
