MAYA Yoshida’s Japan side were comfortable 3-0 winners in their Kirin Challenge Cup match against Panama.
Yoshida was left on the bench by manager Hajime Yorimasu but goals from Takumi Minamino and Junya Ino put Japan in the lead.
Panama’s Harold Cummings then turned the ball into his own net in the 85th minute to seal the victory for the Samurai Blue.
Saints’ Yoshida has the opportunity to play in the next round robin game which is versus Uruguay next Tuesday (16 October).
