AFC TOTTON continue their pre-season programme at Hamble Club tomorrow (Tuesday, 7.45pm) ahead of two significant home friendlies.

The Stags will open their Testwood Stadium doors to Bristol Rovers’ development squad this Saturday (3pm), followed by Birmingham City’s under-23s on Saturday, August 4.

Rovers’ visit is a testimonial game for the Stags’ long-serving marksman Nathaniel Sherborne, who has hung up his boots after 11 magical years at Totton.

One of his career highlights was scoring against Bristol Rovers live on TV in the FA Cup second round in December 2011.

The Birmingham game will be every bit as special with the Stags dedicating the afternoon to much-loved former chairman Andy Straker who passed away in March, aged just 51. There will be a charity collection on the day.

Meanwhile Hamble Club will host the first Sydenhams Premier Division fixture of the season on Friday, August 3 (7.45pm) against Lymington Town.

Lymington have strengthened in the close season with the notable addition of Mike Gosney from Andover Town.

Hamble Club have a number of players suspended but have added John Cole to their squad from AFC Stoneham.
