Hampshire will be out to prove a point when they travel to West Midlands in the British Inter County Darts League next weekend.
The 36-man and woman squad are determined to make up for defeat to Glamorgan in their opening game.
Hampshire tailed 14-4 overnight but made a brilliant comeback the following day to get back into contention – eventually losing 20-16.
Hampshire County Darts Organisation spokeswoman Alex Brindley is calling for that performance to be repeated - this time over two days .
She said: “We were bitterly disappointed to lose to Glamorgan after a spirited comeback on the Sunday.
“We lost heavily on the Saturday, but it was just one of those days. Our players played far better than the scoreline reflects and I can’t see it happening against West Midlands.”
She added: “All the players want to prove a point in the next match. There were some great performances from our new players and a great all-round team spirit.”
