WESSEX Cancer Trust and Dibden Allotments Fund have set up new male support group, MENtalk.

About 200,000 men are diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK and many more are affected by their partners receiving a devastating diagnosis.

The Dibden Allotments Fund is dedicated to supporting individuals and organisations in the Waterside area, and has agreed to fund a new community based support group, exclusively for men, in partnership with Wessex Cancer Trust.

Sessions will provide an opportunity to talk to other people who are in a similar situation and to share experiences.

The group will offer a confidential space to express concerns that men might not want to share with friends and family.

The group will meet at Wessex Cancer Trust’s Waterside Cancer Support Centre, Hythe on the second Thursday of each month from 7pm to 9pm.

If you or someone you know could benefit from attending the male-only support group, contact wct@wessexcancer.org.uk or call 023 8067 2200.
