THEY'RE creepy and they're kooky - but for this group of students it's all an act.

The pupils from Barton Peveril College will be showing off their talents with a performance of The Addams Family.

The show is the 2018 performance for the first year musical theatre students, who will take to the stage this week at the college's Rose Theatre.

As reported the hit show came to the Mayflower Theatre just last year and starred Eastenders star Samantha Janus

Head of performing arts at the Chestnut Avenue college Anneka Wass said: “It is a fun show with lots of great parts to play. There are a wide range of singing, acting and dancing parts so we could play to the students’ strengths in the casting. The biggest difference comes in the form of the Ancestors - the ensemble. In the script there aren't always clear directions for how to use them, so there were many opportunities to add bits in.

“The students are extremely talented and dedicated. A great many of them want to perform in the West End for a profession, so it is exciting to see how hard they work to make the show amazing. They have had so many ideas in rehearsals for direction, choreography, and their characters.”

The show takes place on January 24 and 25

Tickets can be purchased, from Barton Peveril’s website.
