Hear about the future of NHS at Hampshire Hospital Trust AGM

It will be held at The Ark, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital from 5.30pm.

In this special 70th anniversary year for the NHS, the AGM will be an opportunity to reflect and celebrate not only the past year, but the important history of the NHS and Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The free event is open to all.

The exhibition gets underway at 5.30pm, giving visitors the chance to find out more about the work that goes on across the Trust.

There will be an interactive exhibition where you can practice performing CPR and brush up on first aid skills with the clinical skills team and find out more about the equipment used to perform critical testing at the patient bedside in our hospitals.

People can meet hospital staff and the trust’s elected governors and find out more about our services and future plans.

The AGM presentation, where you can hear about the Trust’s performance in 2017/18, begins at 7pm, after which consultant physician Prof John Ramage will deliver a talk on research and innovation at Hampshire Hospitals; past, present and future.

Prof Ramage is a consultant physician in the gastroenterology department at HHFT as well as Kings College Hospitals and lead clinician for the Kings Health Partners, Kent and Hampshire Hospitals Centre of Excellence for Neuroendocrine Tumours.

He is deputy research director for the Trust, and lead for the collaboration between HHFT and Winchester University. He is visiting Professor at Winchester University, Chair of the UK Society for Neuroendocrine Tumours (UKINETS) and on the executive board for the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society.
