THE theme of this year's Winchester Heritage Open Days is 'Extraordinary Woman.'
The event, the biggest yet, will run from September 13-16.
Meanwhile, organiser Nicky Gottlieb was hailed for her work at the Mayor of Winchester’s Community Awards night recently.
Nominating her for an award were fellow volunteer Becky Brown and programme supporter Cllr. Rose Burns, who said: “Nicky puts her heart and soul into organising the programme for Heritage Open Days. In the last three years, the programme of events has increased tenfold, and with this year’s programme, it will be bigger again. It takes a huge amount of work all the year round, and Nicky totally deserves this recognition.”
Over 10,000 visitors attended the 2017 events, and the programme has grown from six events in 2015 to over 60 in 2017.
