AN Alresford man must do community service after he was caught drink driving.

Kane Forcey, 51, admitted the charge after being caught on the B3046 on The Soke, Alresford.

Forcey, of Abbotstone Road, Fobdown, was stopped in a 52-reg Honda by police on March 11. His alcohol reading was 102 in 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35, making him nearly three times the limit.

Magistrates in Basingstoke told Forcey, who was in court, to do 80 hours unpaid work with £85 costs.

He was banned from driving for 24 months with the period to be reduced by 183 days if he passes an approved course by September 25 2019.
