FOOTBALL fans can take part in a new lecture about homophobia in the sport and the World Cup.
Recent media coverage of the intolerant attitudes and mistreatment of the LGBT community in Russia has called into question the suitability of the country to host the event.
In the free lecture, Dr. Rory Magrath, senior lecturer in the School of Sport, Health and Social Sciences at Solent University, outlines the relationship between football and homosexuality.
It takes place in The Spark, at the university, on July 18 from 5pm.
