PLANS to build a gym in Millbrook would have a "harmful impact" on the community.
Southampton City Council rejected proposals to create the new strength and conditioning facilities on Trinity Industrial Estate, Millbrook Road West.
Officials, who refused the plans last week, said: "It would have a harmful impact on the amenities currently enjoyed by the local residents in the surrounding residential area as a result of increased overspill and parking pressures generated by the proposed gym."
