A ROMSEY pensioner has been disqualified from driving for nearly four years after excessive alcohol was found in his blood.
Michael James Mullane, 73, was stopped on The Hundred in Romsey on August 14 whilst driving a 12-reg Ford Focus.
His reading was 197 micrograms in 100 millilitres of blood when the legal limit is 85.
Mullane, of Braishfield Road, Braishfield, admitted the offence.
Magistrates in Basingstoke fined him £800 with an £80 victim surcharge and costs of £105. He was banned for 44 months.
