A MAN was sent to prison for a string of thefts from supermarkets in Hampshire.
Jordan Andrew Cox, 22, of Calmore Drive, Totton pleaded guilty to stealing two packs of meat worth £29.90 from Asda on February 27.
When he was caught officers found a folding pocket knife in Cox’s possession with a blade exceeding three inches long
He pleaded guilty to stealing detergent worth £54.58 from a Co-Op in Totton on February 24 and steaks worth £100 from Co-Op in Lymington the next day. He had also stolen groceries from Totton Asda on three occasions in the same month.
Cox was sentenced to a total of 12 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £154.58 in compensation.
