A MAN has appeared in court on charges relating to a fatal crash in the Meon Valley last summer.
Steven Agar, 36, of Harris Road, Gosport, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, accused of causing death by careless driving whilst over the specified limit of a controlled drug.
Officers were called at 5.05pm on August 23 to a collision between a Mazda and an Audi A4 on the A32 Wickham Road near Droxford.
Gena Close, 56, of Beverly Hills Park, Amesbury, Wiltshire, was a rear seat passenger in the Mazda. She died in Southampton General Hospital.
Agar's next hearing will be at Portsmouth Crown Court on May 8 for a plea and directions hearing.
