There was a North wind howling through Gosport last weekend as Lordswood clinched their place in the third round of the Hampshire Cup.

Feeling the chill wind were a Gosport-based Castle Royals side as a storm force David North breezed in with a hat-trick to help clinch the Division 2 side a 5-3 awayday success.

In the league, Testwood B are up into second spot in the Division 3 table following their amazing 8-6 victory at Worthies, the treble-shooting antics of hat-trick heroes Steven Lace and Martin Randell underpinning their high-scoring success with Carl Whitehead and Daniel McGurn-Stewart also netting.

Hythe & Dibden made it seven straight wins with a 2-1 victory at Cupernham who replied through Michael Long, while efforts from Joe Lemon, Joe Tancock and James Joyce saw Michelmersh home 3-2 at high-riding Itchen Saints whose goals came from Colin Harbut and Lennie Pinnick.

Grabbing the Division 4 leadership reins were Tadburn after they hit Chandler's Ford for six on their own patch, a Mike Barker hat-trick plus efforts by Scott Vidler, Ed Scutt and Phil Vardey doing the trick with the home side responding through James Stride and Stuart Page.

A fearsome Freddie Furber fivesome floored Totton Rangers as Littleton doubled their win tally with a thumping 7-2 scoreline, Ed Clements and Oliver Anstey added singles and Paddy Male and Chris Richards bagging the Totton consolations.
