THERE were Bollywood dancers, African drummers and the mouth-watering flavours of ethnic food.
A quiet corner of Hampshire came alive as the first ever Forest Mela swung in to action.
Chinese dragons, morris dancers and street entertainers all helped showcase the area’s ethnic diversity.
Hundreds of families flocked to the event, at Appletree Court in Lyndhurst, and were treated to live music, art and craft workshops, rock climbing walls, tai chi classes and stunning demonstrations of the Afro-Brazilian art form Capoeira, a cross between dance and martial arts.
