Digital advertisements are set to be added to a council-owned screen that gives bus information for passengers in Southampton city centre.
Plans have been approved to show the adverts on the "passenger transport hub" screen already installed outside the Marlands Shopping Centre.
The digital display shows information on bus and rail departures from Southampton, as well as to date times and delays on these services.

But a planning application submitted by Southampton City Council and later conditionally approved means that adverts will now be shown on this screen.
The plans were approved, but the adverts must not display moving images and be present for a minimum of 10 seconds.
Images on the screen must fade to grey before moving to another advert and anything shown cannot resemble road signs or traffic signals.
The LED digital display panel also is not allowed to be in operation between 11pm and 6am.
