It's the family run farm shop bringing everything from prime cuts of beef to freshly baked bread to a Hampshire High Street.

Westlands Farm Shop, which has been proudly trading in Wickham for more than two decades, has opened a second branch in Winchester, marking a return of a traditional butchers to the city for the first time in 15 years.

It also promises fresh fruit and veg, sourced from within a 40-mile radius, a whole host of products unique to Winchester, frozen goods, wines and a variety of trinkets, some of them Christmas themed.

The Grade II listed property at 154 High Street underwent a four week makeover to bring the space up to date while retaining charm and original features, before being launched last week by owners Graham and Kayleigh Collett.

Graham told the Daily Echo: "The support we’ve received from both the local community and our loyal customers from Wickham has been overwhelming. Visitors can expect to find diverse and quality offerings, with highlights such as British free-range meats, daily-baked bread, and freshly harvested fruits and vegetables.

"We run monthly training where we'll actually take the team to the farm and meet the local producers because that way, when the customers come in, they're talking to someone who's actually seen the farm, who's spoken to the producers."

Kayleigh added: "There's a nice buzz around the place. We've taken on eight new members of staff and we have a really fabulous team, which is lovely."

Westlands Farm Shop has been nurturing local supply chains and supporting small businesses in the community since opening in 2001. The business is dedicated to ethical and sustainable farming and aims to reduce plastic waste.

The shops are part of Hampshire Fare, a collective of local producers in the county aiming to inspire residents and visitors to discover the abundance of produce available on their doorstep.
