Hundreds of motorcyclists will take part in a procession today to honour a fellow biker who died.

Master Builder, which organises bike nights, is putting on the parade in memory of Kieran Short, who was in an accident involving two cars on a country road last month.

Kieran, 20, died in the crash on the A334 Botley Road at Shedfield, near Bishop's Waltham, at around 5.40pm on Thursday, June 27.

Emergency services attended, but despite their best efforts Kieran, from Shedfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kieran's parents Karen and Rob have paid tribute and set up a GoFundMe in his memory. More than 280 people have responded raising more than £5,300, way above the initial target of £600.

The event will begin at 6pm at the Master Builder headquarters at 189, Swaythling Road, Southampton. Food and drink will be available.

The ride will then head out at 7.45pm to the A334 Shedfield, riding via West End, Hedge End, Botleigh Grange Hotel, Botley and then on to the A334.

It will stop on the A334 by Wickham Estate, then ride at 10 miles per hour past the scene of the accident. The ride will finish at Loomies Cafe on Alton Road, near West Meon.

Motorists can expect hundreds of bikers on the road during the event, and Master Builder is warning there may be delays in these areas.

Marshals will be present to supervise proceedings.

All motorbikes with CC engines are welcome to join the procession. The SCAS will be in attendance, along with other organisations.

Ribbons are also available in purple and green from the bar. Purple was Kieran's favourite colour and green symbolises his work for the for the South Central Ambulance Service's call centre.
