"Services are currently required to come to a stand just outside of Southampton Central station so that the signaller can advise train drivers of an issue with line-side equipment.

In a statement, a spokesperson for SWR said: "Due to a problem with line side equipment between St Denys and Southampton Central trains have to run at reduced speed on the line towards Southampton.
The delays are due to an issue with the line side equipment between the two stations.
Trains travelling between St Denys and Southampton Central are expected to be delayed until the end of the day, according to South Western Railway (SWR).
