A woman was left with injuries after she was assaulted in Southampton city centre, police have revealed.
Police officers were called around 4pm on Friday to reports that a woman in her 30s had been assaulted in Carlton Place.
Members of the public reported seeing officers and police cars were seen on London Road throughout Friday afternoon, near the Brewhouse pub.
Officers responded and found the woman had sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said that detectives continue to carry out enquiries to establish the circumstances of what happened.
