Beaulieu has been named as one of the poshest places in the UK with an average house price of more than £1.7 million.
The picturesque New Forest village was ranked in Britain's top 48 poshest villages following exclusive research by Telegraph Money, provided by Savills.
The study found that the village is appealing because of its 16th-century high street, Artisan shops and its close proximity to the sailing hub of Lymington and the rest of the New Forest.
This position and aesthetics have made the village the most expensive in Britain.
Beaulieu was joined by Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight and Abbotsbury in Dorset.
Occupying a special place in the village of Beaulieu is the British National Motor Museum.
Established in 1952 as Montagu Motor Museum, it was dedicated to the memory of John Montagu who persuaded parliament to abolish a 12-mph speed limit.
During the late 1950s, Beaulieu House was home to one of Britain's earliest attempts at a pop festival: the Beaulieu Jazz Festival.
