What is happening?
There are currently roadworks on parts of the M27 which are causing delays for drivers this morning.
- One lane is closed and speed restrictions of 50 mph are in place due to resurfacing work on M27 both ways between J5 A335 Stoneham Way (Southampton Airport / Eastleigh) and J7 A334 Charles Watts Way (Hedge End).
- And another lane closure is in place due to long-term construction on M27 both ways at J8 A3024 (Bursledon / Hamble).
According to the AA, there are also delays of three minutes between junction seven Charles Watts Way (Hedge End) and J4 on M3.
There is an average speed of 25mph.
The roadworks on the motorway are no doubt a big factor for the delays on the M27.
