Police are looking for a ‘lanky’ teenager after an 11-year-old boy was punched in the chest before having his e-scooter robbed from him.

The robbery happened on January 5 in an alleyway between Witt Road and Campbell Way in Fair Oak while the 11-year-old boy was out with his friends.

Between 6.40pm and 6.48pm, the boy was approached by two teenage boys wearing black balaclavas, one of whom was on an e-scooter.

One of the teenagers grabbed the boy’s scooter and ordered him to hand it over.

When the victim refused, he was then punched in the chest and the scooter was stolen from him.

The suspect is described as aged between 14-16 years old but having a deep voice and being six foot tall and a lanky build.

He was wearing a black balaclava, black and grey Nike fleece, a light grey zip-up top with a hood, and grey and black Nike tracksuit bottoms.

The suspect then rode off on the e-scooter along with the second teenage boy, who also had an e-scooter with him. They both turned unto Witt Road and headed towards Winchester Road.

The stolen Pure e-scooter, pictured, is black and has scratches on it. The light is also snapped off.

Police continue to investigate this incident and enquiries remain ongoing at this time.
