A school in Hampshire is staying shut for the first day of term due to a gas leak.
Headteacher Sarah Conlon told parents classes will not open for pupils on Tuesday.
The 'extremely disappointing' closure means pupils at Cranbourne College in Basingstoke will not be heading back to class.
Thousands of pupils will be returning for the new school year across Hampshire and Southampton.
In a letter published on December 28, the headteacher said: "Following on from my letter sent on 14th December, the gas leak in school has still not been fixed and we continue to wait for contractors to reinstate the gas.
"This is extremely disappointing and not the news I hoped to give you, I have therefore had to make the decision to shut the school on Tuesday 2 January 2024, as there will be no heating, hot water or cooking facilities."
She urged people to check social media for further updates. Cranbourne was found to have RAAC concrete in September last year.
The dangerous concrete was identified in several school buildings in the summer. Cranbourne remained open in the autumn.
Hampshire County Council previously said Cranbourne is the only site in the county to contain the material.
