Music icons Tom Jones and Madness have completed the line-up for next year's inaugural Southampton Summer Sessions festival. 

Kaiser Chiefs and Nile Rodgers & CHIC will also perform headline sets over three weekends in Guildhall Square next June. 

Tickets for the dates not on sale will be available from Friday (December 1) at smmrsessions.com

Tom Jones who, for over six decades has recorded timeless classics including It’s Not Unusual, She’s A Lady and Sexbomb, selling more than 100 million records and proving an influential figure in the music industry, will take to the stage on Saturday June 15.

Ska legends Madness will perform hits like Our House and Baggy Trousers to adoring audiences the following night. 

Nile Rodgers & CHIC will play on Sunday June 23. Nile Rodgers is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and a multiple Grammy Award-winning songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist.

As the co-founder of CHIC, he generated chart-topping hits like Le Freak, and sparked the advent of hip-hop with Good Times and Rapper's Delight.

Nile Rodgers & CHIC will be joined by chart-topping pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor  with her glossy, disco-infused dance hits. Fans can expect to enjoy Murder on the Dancefloor and more. Rising stars Deco will also join the party.

Indie rockers Kaiser Chiefs will bring the curtain down on the festival series on Friday June 30 with some of their huge hits including Ruby, I Predict a Riot and Everyday I Love You Less and Less.

Founded in 2013, Summer Sessions have become a much-loved and highly anticipated live music series in Scotland with events taking place in cities including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.

Headliners have included Eminem, Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine and David Guetta.

Southampton has been added to the series for the first time in 2024 along with Bedford, Chepstow, Derby and Plymouth. 

Organisers have said Guildhall Square will be transformed into a destination for world-leading live acts and music fans alike.
