A man has been charged with drug supply offences after being arrested at a Hampshire ferry terminal. 

Antonio Panayi, 31, was arrested at Gosport ferry terminal on Wednesday evening. 

Police say a quantity of suspected drugs was seized as well as mobile phones and £4,500 in cash.

Panayi of Eddington Road, St Helens, Isle of Wight has now been charged. 

He is charged with possession of amphetamine with intent to supply, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.

Panayi was remanded in custody and appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court yesterday (October 27).
