Southampton PR man Lee Peck has recruited his BBC journalist daughter to his business.

Frankie Peck joined the Southampton-based agency from BBC South where she worked across BBC Radio Solent, BBC South Today and Politics South.

Lee said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have Frankie on board.

"She’s a seasoned professional, hardworking and has a great sense of humour - so important in business.

“As a senior account manager, Frankie will be a great asset to the Lee Peck Media team as we enter a new chapter and a new period of growth.

“The journey Frankie has taken is very similar to mine and she can now put into practice what she has learned over her long media career.”

A former broadcast journalist himself, he has since built his PR agency into one of the most respected in the region.

Frankie said: “It was a great wrench leaving the BBC where I worked with so many wonderfully talented and warm people, but joining Lee Peck Media – and yes, the prospect of working alongside my dad – was just too much of an opportunity to miss.”

Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, Lee Peck Media delivers a range of communication services such as media relations, reputation management and social media.

Lee added: “A former BBC film documentary maker and news broadcaster - Frankie’s understanding of the news and political agendas, together with a unique insight in the journalist’s perspective, will help to deliver maximum exposure for clients’ stories.

“One of her specialities is creating innovative social media strategies driving organic growth and genuine interaction. She is particularly adept at producing videos for LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Tik Tok.”

Last year Lee Peck Media won plaudits for delivering the high-profile PR campaign for Southampton’s bid to become UK City of Culture 2025. The city finished runner up to Bradford.

The agency is sponsoring the South Coast Business Awards, celebrating the excellent businesses operating in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
