The biggest metropolitan music festival in Britain returns to the south this Bank Holiday August weekend with headliners Jamiroquai, Kasabian and Mumford and Sons.
Victorious Festival promises its most comprehensive weekend ever with three days of music and comedy and, for the first time, the Southsea event will host as many acts and stages on the opening Friday as on the rest of the weekend.
Friday’s Common stage sees performances from Stockport’s Blossoms, Mae Muller, The Charlatans and Raye, before acid jazz superstars Jamiroquai, fronted by Jay Kay, bring hits such as Virtual Insanity and Deeper Underground, 30 years after their debut album Emergency on Planet Earth.

On Saturday, Kaiser Chiefs, Belle & Sebastian, Kate Nash, The Divine Comedy, Pale Waves and Natalie Imbruglia appear before Kasabian, while on Sunday, Ellie Goulding, Sigrid, Sea Girls, and Dylan are part of the build-up before Londoners Mumford and Sons.
Leicester band Kasabian, fronted by Serge Pizzorno for the past 25 years, will bring hit singles such as Fire, Club Foot and L.S.F.
The Castle stage includes recent album chart-topper Cian Duncrot, The View, Circa Waves, and Nottingham kingpin Jake Bugg, along with headliners Pete Tong Orchestra Ibiza Classics on Friday, Alt-J on Saturday, and Johnny Marr on Sunday.
The Vaccines, including their Southampton-born lead singer Justin Young, Liverpool legends The Coral, Heather Small, Crawlers, The Blinders and Coventry trio The Enemy also appear on the same stage.
It is a double-hit weekend for Hampshire band Crystal Tides who open the Castle Stage on Saturday before later playing the Beats and Swing stage.
Southampton’s Calum Lintott and Pioneers appear on the Casemates stage, while 8-piece South Coast Ghosts, Portsmouth’s Jerry Williams and Scotland’s Calum Bowie are on the Acoustic stage.
Other local acts Arcade Hearts, The Straights, Paraffin, Calaveras and Number 9 are also on board, along with big names like The Charlatans and Annie Mac, plus rising stars Courting, who open the main stage on Friday, and Liverpool’s Stone.
Comedy fans can laugh along with Omid Djalili, Jason Manford, Shooting Star’s Angelos Epithemiou and Mock The Week’s Dara O’Briain and Zoe Lyons.
Around 70,000 people are set to attend between Friday and Sunday.
