Drivers in and around Southampton will have 13 major road closures to watch out for this week.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 11 closures already in place are expected to carry on this week.

  • M27, from 9pm October 11 2018 to 6am April 14 2022, slight delays (delays: under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 5, slip road closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
  • M27, from 9pm November 17 2020 to 6am April 27 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 8, slip road closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
  • M27, from 8pm February 7 to 6am April 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 4, slip road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion route via Highways England network.
  • M27, from 8pm October 17 2019 to 6am May 12 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 5 to junction 4, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network.
  • M27, from 8pm February 8 to 6am May 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 7, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network.
  • M27, from 8pm February 6 to 6am May 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 7 to junction 4, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network.
  • M3, from 6am March 26 to 6am May 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound to M27 eastbound, Lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways.
  • M27, from 8pm April 4 to 6am June 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound and westbound, junction 7 to junction 9, Lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

  • M27, from 8pm April 19 to 6am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 4 to 5, Lane closures for developer works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
