TWO teenage boys were arrested on suspicion of drug offences following a proactive police stop.

Police on patrol in the New Forest on Sunday night detained two youths and carried out a search.

It came after officers stopped a Vauxhall Corsa on South Street, Pennington, just before 9.30pm and searched the occupants of the vehicle.

Police said Class B drugs, cash and drug-related paraphernalia was located and seized.

Officers conducted a further search of a property on Bournemouth Road in Burley and located more drugs and drug-related paraphernalia.

A Hampshire Constabulary said a 17-year-old and 15-year-old boy, both from Lymington, were arrested and de-arrested to attend an interview under caution at a police custody suite at a later date.
