Firefighters helped rescue a person after they fell from a height last night.

A crew from Sherborne Fire Station was called to assist the paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service after a person fell from height in the wooded area at Sherborne Terrace Playing Fields at about 9.45pm last night.

Firefighters were called to help rescue the person from a steed wooded bank.

A fire service spokesman said: "The incident commander liaised with paramedics and a extraction plan was discussed due to the steep wooded bank. Firefighters and paramedics worked together to carry the casualty from the woods to the waiting ambulance. Sherborne firefighters would like to wish Jack a speedy recovery."
