During the lockdown our city was refreshingly vehicle and pollution free; it must therefore be evident that it is those rascals from the council areas with which Southampton is surrounded who are causing our problem.
Perhaps these neighbouring councils, New Forest, Test Valley and particularly more so, Eastleigh, where more and more house building has been encouraged could be persuaded to dig into their pockets (overflowing with council tax from all these new homes ) and their landbanks, to provide car parks for their residents, just outside the city boundaries, where they could exchange their vehicles for the cycles which we prefer people to use within the city.
What about it Mr House and the others – you know who you are – you caused our problem, what are you going to do to solve it?
