A KAYAKER who got into 'difficulties' on the Dorset coastline was rescued by coastguards and lifeboat crews.
The alarm was raised by Swanage National Coastwatch Institution, who alerted the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to a kayaker believed to be having difficulties to the south-west of their watch tower at around 8.50am on Sunday.
A spokesman for the coastguard said: "Swanage RNLI lifeboat was sent and they were able to locate the kayaker and escort the person to a place of safety."
