A MAN has been jailed after he stole salmon fillets and £72 worth of Easter eggs during a thieving spree.
Nicholas Frederick George Croome, of no fixed abode, stole items from several Southampton shops almost every day between April 7 to 13.
A court heard that the 33-year-old stole the Easter eggs, nappies, food, health-related items and other products from One Stop on Cumbrian Way.
He then took to The Cooperative on Millbrook Road West to steal £39 worth of salmon fillets.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court by live link, Croome pleaded guilty to eight counts of stealing.
He was committed to prison for two weeks and ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge.
