THE familiar sound of claps, pots clinking together and cruise ship horns were heard across the city last night.
But it marked the tenth official Clap for Carers that has brought the community together for the last ten Thursday evenings when the clock has struck eight.
Thousands of people have paid gratitude to NHS staff, carers and frontline workers tackling the coronavirus pandemic.
The clap has seen neighbours come together in solidarity against the Covid-19 virus, with many coming out onto balconies or doorsteps to say thank you.
