FOR the second day running no new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Hampshire hospitals.
Daily figures issued by NHS England cover University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Yesterday it was announced no new deaths from Covid-19 had occurred in the previous 24 hours.
This afternoon NHS bosses said hospitals in the region had seen another day free from any deaths linked to coronavirus.
Since the start of the outbreak UHS has seen a total of 157 Covid-related deaths, far fewer than the figure of 202 recorded by Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has seen 143 deaths while the figure for Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is 16.
Nationally another 178le have died of coronavirus, taking the UK total to 31,587. The global death toll so far is 277,000.
