THE tenth edition of the South's biggest tribute festival will now take place in September.

PhoneyFEST, the Concorde Club's nod to the thriving industry devoted to look and sound-a-likes, normally takes place over the Whitsun bank holiday weekend.

This year The Concorde was due to salute a galaxy of multi-million selling recording artists from May 1 to 3, but the venue is likely to then remain closed over coronavirus fears.

More than 40 different tribute acts to some of the biggest names in showbusiness will now take to three stages in and outside the club from September 11 to 13.

Hundreds of music fans will be converging on the Stoneham Lane club to salute pop A listers and celebrate a decade of the copycat music show in Eastleigh.

From Pink to the late great Whitney Houston, country legend Dolly Parton to 90s heartthrobs Take That, Madness to Ed Sheeran, Little Mix to Queen, PhoneyFEST showcases some of the best tributes in the business.

Curated by the Concorde's Jamie Mathieson from his wealth of industry contacts, the event is still set to star George Ezra, Amy Winehouse, Queen, Coldplay, Spice Girls, Robbie Williams and Rod Stewart look and sound-a-likes as billed.

The three day event is normally attended by an audience of more than 1000 and accommodation is provided in the on site hotel, plus glamping tents and camper vans.

The Sunday is traditionally family day at PhoneyFEST and the line up is set to include children's favourites like a Frozen singalong, Olly Murs and Little Mix.

PhoneyFEST is a previous winner of the Venue of the Year title at the National Tribute Music Awards.

The tribute business is booming. and has grown into a multi million pound industry at a time when mega gigs by stadium stars become more costly and tribute acts offer intimacy, accessibility and more fun for a fraction of the price.

Tickets and accommodation will automatically be transferred over to the new dates, but anyone unable to make it should contact the box office once The Concorde Club reopens.
