A FUND set up to support research into coronavirus has surpassed £150,000 in donations.
The Southampton Coronavirus Response Fund set up by University of Southampton was set up on Friday April 3.
Over 630 staff, students, alumni and others from the local community have donated to the fund to urgently support and accelerate the University’s research and other activities tackling the global pandemic.
Meanwhile, staff from their Medicine and Chemistry teams have produced supplies of vital liquid solutions used to ensure that face masks for healthcare workers are fitted safely.
Each face mask used needs to be adjusted individually.
