A SOUTHAMPTON taxi company is offering a free collection and delivery service for people in self-isolation or who cannot collect items they need.
Cab My Ride is running the service to help people in the community due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The firm said dozens of people have used the service to collect groceries, essentials or to deliver packages.
Founder Harjit Sahota said: “To reduce any possible risk of transmission, we run this as a cashless service and our drivers are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to remain safe.
“A small fee may apply to cover fuel costs, however, many of our drivers have chosen to waive this fee.
“We believe that there are many more who need, but are not aware of this service. No one should go without what they need during these trying times.”
The service is available every day from 9am to 2pm, and until 8pm on Saturdays.
