This was Southampton’s East Park Terrace almost half a century ago in 1957, as the area was cleared to make way for the then new College of Technology and College of Art, as well as the central health clinic.
Now the area is home to Solent University.
In the distance the spire of the St Andrew’s United Reformed Church can be seen jutting skyward.
The yellow brick church was demolished in 1998.
