Back in 1912, when this photograph was taken, there were no fewer than six pubs all in a row in Southampton’s Albert Road.
From left are the Alliance Inn, the Robert Burns Hotel, the Welsh Harp, the Summerton Beer Retailer, the Calshot Castle and the Queen’s.
