NETLEY’S high stepping majorette Team, the Jubilettes, marched along to the village’s Station Hotel and lined up in formation to say “Ta” to pub regulars.
Customers had filled a collection bottle to the tune of £90.50 over an 18-month period and the Jubilettes were chosen as recipients.
The cash came as a rain of sunshine as the 50-strong-group had found themselves in a gloomy financial situation after a lack of success in finding a sponsor.
To say a special thank you, the girls decided to put on a marching demonstration in the pub’s car park.
