NO Limits were pleased to be a part of the Serious Violent Crime summit taking place on Thursday 6th February.

Through our current ‘Carry Respect, Not a Knife’ campaign, we are seeking to reassure young people that carrying a knife for protection isn’t necessary and open up a conversation with them about their fears of knife crime.

Fear of knife crime (often fuelled by media reports) is leading to more young people carrying weapons for protection, but this action increases a young person’s chances of getting hurt and of hurting someone else.

The campaign calls on young people, if they are worried about violent crime, to speak to someone rather than resort to carrying a weapon.

Our Advice Centre on the High Street is open for over 40 hours a week and a young person can speak to a youth worker without appointment. www.nolimitshelp.org.uk
